Monday July 31st 1916

 Very hot. Sidney went to W Monroe a.m., got flour and meds. Rode both ways with Leon Muckey with Potter's cheese rig.

Sunday July 30th 1916

Awfully hot. Sidney and 5 girls went to S.S (Sunday school) and Sidney conducted services a.m. and at Dutch Hill at 3 p.m. and Gayville 7:30 p.m. Lillian rode home with Mrs. Siegert. Maud Potter gave her some cookies. Sidney got .60 cents here, .40 cents at Dutch Hill and .92 cents at Gayville. 

Sunday July 23rd 1916

 Mable Piggah 13 years old. Hot, nice shower p.m. Sidney, Mora, and Maud went to church. Maud went home with Mildred Potter, came home eve. way around by the cheese factory, got home at 7 p.m.

Monday July 17th 1916

Hot day. Sidney went to W. Monroe, got feed and groceries. Rode past way both ways. Mora, Memphis and Cassy picked berries for Cassy Potter. Mora went to Sloson's and got her clothes tonight. 

Thursday July 13th 1916

 Hot a.m. thunder shower p.m. Sidney went to Smith's at noon. Mora went to Potter's. Maud and Memphis to Bisbo's but as they were through picking they went with Mora. Cassy went down with them and brought back their money. Mr. Wilson said he could not get any flour, so I sent a card to Davy to bring us a sack. Children all had their dinner pails full of berries when they came back.

Tuesday July 11th 1916

 Hot, sultry all day. Maud and Memphis picked berries at Bisbo's all day. Mora at Potter's. Sidney went with her and picked berries until noon, and worked in hay at Smith's p.m.  Supper there. I planted more potatoes.

Monday May 15th 1916

Rainy, thunder showers all night. Children went to school except Mora. She went to Elmer Cottet's at 5 p.m.. Other children went to Cassy Potters after school, she gave our Cassy a nice little new hat. Mora and Lillian went to Johnson's to get a little sour milk. Mrs.J. gave them cookies. Pa's birthday. Mrs. Russel came for flowers. Put Maud's duck setting.

Saturday April 22, 1916

Rained hard a.m. and a little p.m. Sidney came on the 4 o'clock train rode up to corner with E.B. Potter and Floyd McSymond. he had a box full of groceries he bought in Fulton. Left his scroll with Dolly.

Tuesday April 18, 1916

Snow and rain all a.m. Children went to school. Sidney went in the swail and got the ducks but could not get the drake. I went with him tonight but could not call him off. Sidney called on Mr. Smith, came around by E.B. Potters, got 1/2 bu. corn on the cob, had a mess of cowslips for dinner.

Saturday April 15, 1916

Fair. Sidney split wood for E.B. Potter. Mora and Maud went to Little France. Paul is very much better altho far from alright. Mouth awfully cankered. Sidney sent .75c to Larkin Soap Co.

Tuesday April 11, 1916

Cloudy most all day, commenced to rain at 7 p.m. Sidney went away at 7:30, toward Fulton. Mora and Maud went to Maud Potter's and got some milk. Mora also went to Russels, got some rural N.Y.'s. Memphis and Cassy carried some bell peppers and Maud, Memphis and Cassy and the Russel girls went and picked some wintergreen berries p.m.

Monday April 10, 1916

Fair. Sidney cut wood, trimmed some trees on other side of road, went to Jim Potter's got 1/2 bu. turnips and various odd jobs. I washed, all of us kept busy. Mrs. Russel and girls came a.m. also the ragman paid me for the rags he got here his other trip.

Wednesday April 5, 1916

Cloudy a.m. Fair p.m. Sidney helped buzz wood at Russel's a.m. Canvessed p.m., ate supper at North Constantia. Got 1# crackers. Mora went to Potter's, got some milk. Her nose bled twice. Maud has sore throat swelled quite badly. Paul has walked alone all over house today.

Tuesday April 4, 1916

Cool, rain and snow p.m. and eve. Maud has been sick, vomited. Feels a little better tonight. She hasn't eaten since morning. Sidney went over to Potter's, got some sour mild. Mr. Russel called at the door, the little girls stopped in this morning on their way to school.

Tuesday March 28, 1916

Beautiful, but very bad going as the snow is still very deep and clumps to the ground. Sidney started to work but could not get in the woods on account of water. He got a pail of milk off Maud Potter. Claud Bryant got his horse down in the road.

Friday March 24, 1916

Fair. Sidney worked for H. Russel. Mora went to school. Sidney went to Jim Potters and got another half bu. turnips last night.

Wednesday March 22, 1916

Stormy all day except a little while a.m. Sidney went to Potter's at 8 a.m. but it stormed so hard he came home at noon. A big hen hawk here twice today. Bound to get a meal but failed. Mora went to school, came home by way of Potters. Sidney went over to Jim's got 1/2 bu. turnips and some milk at Maud's. Carl got us some flour and some salt at Little France. Left it at Roy Johnson's. Sidney went and got it eve.

Tuesday March 21, 1916

Thawing. Sidney and Claud commenced to cut wood for E. Potter. Mora went to school. A rag man came. I sold him a bag of rags but could not make change so he said he would leave the money at Fred House's. 14cents. Sidney got 9# flour off Maud Potter also a pail of milk. He let Claud have some milk and Lettie filled his dinner pail with hulled corn Maud went to see Bell. Commenced to wean baby Paul, he is very very good.

Monday March 20, 1916

Thawing some. Sidney and Alf. finished up Chas. Munger's wood job. Both eat dinner with Mungers. Maud Potter sent a pail of buttermilk and pail of sweet milk by Sidney. He borrowed some flour off Claud Bryant.

Saturday March 18, 1916

Clear, not so cold. Alf. said he could not work as he had to go to store. Sidney cut us wood a.m. and went to quarterly meeting p.m. Harry Howard called and went with him eve. Sidney went and got a pail of milk at E.B. Potter's also qrt. of vinegar at Elmer Cottets.
