Cool. Sidney went over on Muckey's, only got 7 qts of berries. Rode down to Bisbo's with Mrs. Bernhard shuttle. Sidney does not feel well, has not for some days.

Tuesday August 22nd 1916
Awfully hot sultry day. I picked 2 qts of huckleberries p.m. Mora picked some a.m. and also some barberries. I made a pie of them, it was fine. Sidney picked berries on Muckie's, took another can of Fred's over, got some duchess apples off him. I made 2 pies of them, mailed a letter to Aunt Adaline.
Friday August 18th 1916
Hot. Rec'd a card from Mina. Sidney went to Little France, rode with Edd Cotett at 6:30 a.m. got flour and sugar flour, $2.00 a sack. Went over on Joe Muckey's at 10 a.m., took 2 cans of huckleberries to Fred. He got home early with his pail nearly full. Will Peck's girl sick with infantile paralysis.
Monday August 14th 1916
Fair. James and Mable started away at 8 a.m. Sidney picked 11 qts of berries on Muckeys, brought over 5 qt cans to fill with huckleberries for Fred Cary.
Friday August 11, 1916
Cool, rainy p.m. I sent an order to Sears Roebuck. Sidney went over on Joe Muckey's and picked 8 qts. of blackberries. Got 8 cents a qt. Mable came at 11 a.m. Bell and Sarah Allen, also Cassie Russel and the girls, called during the shower p.m.
Monday July 31st 1916
Very hot. Sidney went to W Monroe a.m., got flour and meds. Rode both ways with Leon Muckey with Potter's cheese rig.
