Friday August 11, 1916

 Cool, rainy p.m. I sent an order to Sears Roebuck. Sidney went over on Joe Muckey's and picked 8 qts. of blackberries. Got 8 cents a qt. Mable came at 11 a.m. Bell and Sarah Allen, also Cassie Russel and the girls, called during the shower p.m. 

Monday November 1, 1915

Beautiful day. Sidney cut us a nice lot of wood, and this eve. went over with Mora to Bryant's and then E.B. Potter's. Got 4 small pumpkins also went to Cary's and got onions. Bell came p.m. and this eve came and brought the Post Standard so we could read Billy Sunday's services. Sarah came with her but did not come in. Mr. House visited with Sidney p.m. Saw fire eve. A baby boy at Charles Beasonson's.

Monday September 6, 1915

Hot, sultry day. I wrote a letter to Sidney, and Mora one to Avis Weatherup. Mail carrier did not come on account of Labor day. It commenced to rain a little before 5 p.m. At 6 p.m. Mora started for Bryant's in a steady downpour. Maud took a mug of succotash to Sarah and Bell, they gave her a pail of milk. Gave House's and Bell each 8 seed of succotash.

Sunday July 25, 1915

Very hot sultry a.m. Mora is about sick. Sidney and Maud attended S.S. and church. Sidney sent to North Constantia p.m., necessary to get groceries. We called at Bell and Sarah this eve.

Wednesday June 23, 1915

Rained all last night and a.m. until 11 o'clock. Mr. Willson came p.m. I got 10# meal. Little ducks all hatched and smart, eleven of them. Alfred Russel came at 9:30 for me to go over there, said Mamie was sick. I went and old Mrs. Russel, Sarah and Bell Allen were there, they went home after awhile and Alfred got F. House to go for Mrs. Allseiver. I came home at 12 midnight.
