Awfully hot. We expected Mina and Leslie but they did not come. Sidney went to North Constantia eve. got some groceries, the old lady sent me a card picture of herself.

Monday May 29th 1916
Hot. Sidney went to N. Constantia and then to Constantia. Got oats, meal, 1# tea and a can of milk. He was awfully tired when he reached home. Maud, Memphis and Cassy went to school. Mora went to Elmer's about 4: 30 p.m. James, Susie and the baby came at 5 p.m., had been to Mallory, Little France and then here. I dug 12 rows of holes to plant corn.
Wednesday April 5, 1916
Cloudy a.m. Fair p.m. Sidney helped buzz wood at Russel's a.m. Canvessed p.m., ate supper at North Constantia. Got 1# crackers. Mora went to Potter's, got some milk. Her nose bled twice. Maud has sore throat swelled quite badly. Paul has walked alone all over house today.
Monday August 9, 1915
Rainy. Sidney went to H.E. Potters first thing in morning and way back by Claud Bryants to see about potatoes. Did not get any so he and Maud started for North Constantia. Had to go to Orla Harrington's, gave 40c/ bu. for old potatoes. Came back and got sugar and rice at Joe Harringtons and then came home. Sidney worked on his brush toward night.

Very hot sultry a.m. Mora is about sick. Sidney and Maud attended S.S. and church. Sidney sent to North Constantia p.m., necessary to get groceries. We called at Bell and Sarah this eve.
Sunday July 4, 1915
Sidney and Maud went to S.S. Sypher held quarterly meeting at North Constantia. We had a big strawberry shortcake. Sidney got berries at Bisbo's. Bell Allen called eve., brought milk.
Friday June 4, 1915
Fair, rather cold wind. Fay Sypher came and borrowed a hammer a.m. Sidney went over to Fred Cary's this morning and Fred gave him a few early rose and a few other early potatoes to plant. Mr. House came over p.m. and cut the grass in our front yard, for his horses. I put short clothes on baby *Paul. a.m. Sidney went to North Constantia eve. Got home 10 p.m.

Monday May 3, 1915
Cold day. Maud and Memphis went to school. A baby boy came to Elmer Whorl and wife. Janie Johnson brought a pail sauerkraut this morning sent by old Mrs. Johnson. Sidney went up to North Constantia and back by way of Gayville.

Sidney and I also James and Hiram West went over the cuc's again. a.m. to get a bu. of bottlers and Sidney and Mora took 1 bu. to Constantia where James had contracted them at the Italian saloon, had a job to make him pay for them, took a few broilers could not sell them so brought them back. Picked 1/2 bu. elderberries coming home.

Hot. Sidney took 4 broilers to Constantia got 30c each. Mora and Mable went to W. Monroe P.O. a.m. Mabel and Maude p.m.
