Thursday March 16, 1916

Fair, clear and cold. Sidney wanted to work but Alf. did not come about 9 a.m. Sidney went there and they were just getting breakfast. Alf. did not want to work so S. went to W. Monroe, got some corn and meal. Rode with Frank Cronan some both ways. Lost our bag. Sidney, Mora and Maud have gone to meeting tonight. Mora and Maud rode back with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hubbard. Claud Bryant converted.

Wednesday March 15, 1916

Cold, stormy all day. Track full. Sidney went to E.B. Potter's early a.m. Maud gave him some sweetmilk and buttermilk too. He then went to Little France, got groceries, had to wade both ways. Very tired when he got back. Chas. Beasonson asked him to eat dinner with him but he did not. Chas. gave him some crackers and cookies.

Tuesday March 14, 1916

Stormy all day. Sidney or I haven't felt well today. Sidney did not feel like cutting wood but he cut some at home. Mora is 14 years old. they wanted to go to meeting but Sidney did not feel able to go with them tonight. Sidney got 1/2 bu. potatoes off Elmer Cottett and he gave him 2 messes beets and some carrots last night.

Monday March 13, 1916

Mary and Mildred Potter went forward. Quite a nice day. Mora went to school as did several other children. Waited until 10 and no teacher came, so she came back home wet to her knees. Roads filled last night. Sidney and Alf. waded over to Munger's, cut wood. Sidney went to meeting. Awful tired tonight.

Sunday March 12, 1916

Wind. South looks like a thaw. Snowing some. Sidney went to meeting in daytime and also eve. Mora went too. Hubbard's folks called for them to ride with them. 4 converts, Mrs. Keich, and Hazel, Gail McClymond and Harry Graves.

Saturday March 11, 1916

Fair. Fisher's plowed the roads a.m.  Snow is about 3 ft. on the level and some big drifts.  Sidney wanted to go to work but they didn't get the cross road out until p.m.  Alf. Russel called.

Friday March 10, 1916

Snowed hard all P.M. No sign of anyone. Through snow is awful deep and  still coming. Sidney got 1 bu. potatoes off Russel's tonight.

Wednesday November 3, 1915

Cold, a little rain. Hail and round snow, first snow this fall. Mora came home eat breakfast. She and Maud and Memphis went to school. The Russel girls stopped and went with them. Bell came an hour a.m. Mr. House said he whole republican ticket was elected here but town went wet. Rev. Sypher and Fay dug some of their {unable to read, ripped} acrost the road.

Tuesday November 2, 1915

Cold raw wind. Rained and hailed about 4 p.m. Mora came over acrost with Lettie, she went {unable to read, ripped}. Mora, Maud and Memphis went to school together. Russel came just dark, wanted one of the girls to help Mamie while he went and see about a house to {unable to read, ripped}. So Mora went. Maud and Memphis went with {unable to read, ripped}, came back with the lantern. I got off of Mr. Wilson, 5# graham, 1 red cross and 1 soap. Sold him eleven eggs at .38c/doz. Sidney started at 9 a.m. to go and vote and go on towards Fulton intending to get as far as Loren woods tonight. Volney Russel's barn burned last night, all his farming tools, horse, cow, hogs and hens, also burned with it. Mr. House came in and talked himself out as usual.

Monday November 1, 1915

Beautiful day. Sidney cut us a nice lot of wood, and this eve. went over with Mora to Bryant's and then E.B. Potter's. Got 4 small pumpkins also went to Cary's and got onions. Bell came p.m. and this eve came and brought the Post Standard so we could read Billy Sunday's services. Sarah came with her but did not come in. Mr. House visited with Sidney p.m. Saw fire eve. A baby boy at Charles Beasonson's.
