I got up 5:45, drew off milk, fed pig calves and chickens before the rest were up except Pa. Picked berries, all of us got 2 crates and Cassy and I picked 20 qts over to bring home. James came and brought us home. Marian and Myrtle came, Susie traded a goose and a guinea hen for 2 hens. She gave me some butter an a pail of milk to bring home. When we got to Bisbo's our girls rode home having just finished, they got tickets cashed, Sidney, Maude and Memphis went home with James.

Monday April 24, 1916
Cloudy. Rainy at night. Children at school. Sidney went to Fulton 8 a.m. Susie, Mable, Myrtle and the baby came at 10 a.m. and started for home at 3:15 .m. they brought a loaf of bread and 2 lemon pies. I gave her some seed and let her take Cassy's beads for the baby. I found one ducks egg.
Saturday June 5, 1915
Hot. Sidney went to Jim Potter's twice and carried 1 bu. potatoes each time. He planted some on the {unable to read} place, and went to Gayville eve. I hoe'd some in the garden this morning. Susie, Mable, Marian and Myrtle came a.m. eat dinner, bought a lot of sour milk, buttermilk and some beans. Also peppermint herb. Mora has a bad bronchial cough and acts sick.
Wednesday July 8, 1914
Hot a.m. Partly cloudy and quite cool p.m. Mora pulled weeds at Weatherups 8 hours, rec'd $2.00. A letter came from T. Lipsky saying his father was dead, a card also from Herick that the scrolls were at the station, a card came this eve from Mr. Higley. I opened the sore on Maud's toe this morning and a lot of pus came out it made her feel better right away. Edith Pierce and Guy's nephew Spencer Sheldon came this evening, I found a young rabbit dead. James and Susie and their baby Myrtle drove in at nine p.m. staid until 11, brought me two qts. cherries. Mr. Lane of Central Square came p.m. I ordered 2 pair stockings for Maud and Memphis each, one for Sidney.
