Sunday May 28th 1916

Warm, rather muggy. Sidney and the three girls went to church. Mora went with Cottet's , rode home with Mrs. Siegert, other 3 rode with mr. Johnson. Blanch Cottet gave Mora 3 nice pink roses for her hat. Sidney, Mora and Maud have gone to church this eve., had a good crowd tonight.

Sunday May 21st 1916

Fair. Sidney and 3 girls went to church p.m., Sidney went to Dutch Hill, ate supper with Jess Alger, came home, and he, Mora and Maud gone to meeting, eve. Mora came home from church at 9:30, a.m. Blanch gave her a pr. shoes and $1.00 for helping her. We caught a woodchuck, it was fine.

Sunday May 14th 1916

Fair. Mora came home at 10 a.m. Blanch gave her a pair of rompers for Paul, that her little Rose had outgrown. Sidney, Maud, Memphis and Cassy went to church a.m. Sidney, Maud, and Mora have gone this evening. Mr. Webb came p.m. to see Sidney about draging.

Tuesday May 9th, 1916

Fair, quite cool. Children went to school. Mora came home and got some clothes and went over to stay with Blanch Cottett. Hazel Williams has another baby girl.

Saturday October 23, 1915

Cold raw wind. I got up a 1 o'clock and drove Charles Runga's cattle out of our garden and they came right back and I drove them out again at 2. Mr. House put them in Fisher's lot and this morning they jumped over the fence and came back in our garden at noon again. {Unable to read, ripped} them as far as Johnson's, they have eaten {unable to read, ripped} cabbage, and some turnips too. Mora and Maud went over to Lettie's and also to Elmer Cottett's a.m. Blanche gave them each a pumpkin. Mr. House gave Lillian a *toque that was Hazel's. Bell came a.m. a little while. Sidney got home at 9 p.m. having walked from Brewerton. He brought some groceries from Claud Davy's.

Easter Sunday April 12, 1914

Eddie Burt and Blanch Fidler married at West Monroe. Cold west wind again a little round snow and a little rain. Mora and Maud up all day, feel quite good. Sidney went to Sunday School alone today, did not have any minister.
