Sunday July 9th 1916

Hot sultry day. Mary Dupra was buried. Rosco Bisbo went and got her in his car a.m. Mora, Maud and Memphis went to the funeral. Sidney picked red raspberries, so I made 3 pies and 3 little ones for their dinner pails.

Saturday June 3rd 1916

Cloudy a.m., hard rain p.m. Sidney went to Roscoe Bisbo's before they were up this a.m.  Ross let him have 1 bu. seed potatoes. Our turkey laid her first egg this morning. Sidney got a big fat woodchuck in his trap a.m.

Thursday June 1st, 1916

Fair, warm today. Quite a hard frost this morning, quite a few things were black on the low land. Our early potatoes that were up got niped. Maud and Cassy went to school. Memphis took care of Paul so I could help plant corn. Memphis and Maud covered like little nailers after 4. Sidney carried manure in 2 pails and dropped it all in the hill. Lafayette Mead came here at noon, eat dinner and started for Potter's. Mr. Wm. Johnson called this eve, on his way to prayer meeting. Sidney, Maud and Memphis went to Roscoe Bisbo's, got some groceries off Glen Davy. Got some dandy molasses for .40c/gallon.

Thursday May 11th 1916

Cool, high wind. Children went to school. Mora came home and went acrost to {page ripped, unreadable} tonight Maud and Memphis got {page ripped, unreadable} uncle Billy's this eve to prayer meeting. Mora went with Cottetts folks to social at Roscoe Bisbo's last night. I sent a letter to sidney, got 1/2 sack bread flour off Mr. Wilson, also can of red cross milk, paid 3 cents a can. Mrs Kent gave Memphis some dahlia and gladiola bulbs tonight.
