Friday October 6th 1916

 Fair, hot day. I finished my washing a.m., am not feeling very good. I went to Bernices and got some buttermilk this p.m. Vera here all eve. Maud went to Pervcival's p.m., went in house. Glen has the mumps.

Thursday August 31st 1916

 Fair, warm day. Mr. Wilson came. I got some graham and matches. sold him 1 doz. eggs, .28 cents. Glen Davy called also, I sent a letter Hannah. Mrs. Russel called to have girls stay with her girls while she met Hank with his groceries.

Thursday July 20th 1916

Hot, almost suffocating. I sent a card but Glen started before the mail got back so all I brought was 1 gal. vinegar. I sold him 2 doz eggs at 25 cents per doz. All pulled weed and hoed.

Friday July 14th 1916

 Hot all day. I was sick at noon. Mora sick at night. All been busy as bees. Sidney set bean poles. Joe and Nell Sloson stopped to get Mora to go back to Frank's but she did not want to go. Glen brought our groceries at noon.

Thursday June 1st, 1916

Fair, warm today. Quite a hard frost this morning, quite a few things were black on the low land. Our early potatoes that were up got niped. Maud and Cassy went to school. Memphis took care of Paul so I could help plant corn. Memphis and Maud covered like little nailers after 4. Sidney carried manure in 2 pails and dropped it all in the hill. Lafayette Mead came here at noon, eat dinner and started for Potter's. Mr. Wm. Johnson called this eve, on his way to prayer meeting. Sidney, Maud and Memphis went to Roscoe Bisbo's, got some groceries off Glen Davy. Got some dandy molasses for .40c/gallon.
