Rainy. Sidney went to Russel's to work but did not work on account of the rain. Other man went to Square with Frank Roguiski.

Friday July 14th 1916
Hot all day. I was sick at noon. Mora sick at night. All been busy as bees. Sidney set bean poles. Joe and Nell Sloson stopped to get Mora to go back to Frank's but she did not want to go. Glen brought our groceries at noon.
Friday July 7th 1916
Fair, hot day. Sidney and I cultivated with Frank Roggiski's horse. Mora picked berries for Cassy. Maud and Memphis for Bisbo's. I cooked the turtle mora got yesterday for supper.
Sunday July 2nd 1916
Warm. Sidney and the four girls went to church. Nell Sloson spoke to Sidney about Mora going to Franks to work. Frank Sloson drove up p.m. Quite a hard thunder shower p.m. Rain poured. Found Patsy in the trap, glad to see us come,
Friday May 26th 1916
Fair. Sidney worked for Frank Kent all day. Maud went to school. Mora came home at noon, went acrost at 4:30 p.m.
Thursday May 25th 1916
Warm bright day. Sidney and I planted potatoes a.m. and I and the children p.m. Sidney worked for Frank Kent p.m., this eve. He and Maud have gone to prayer meeting at Claud Bryant's. Memphis and Cassy went to school but the teacher was gone away, so there was no school. Memphis cut her foot on a nail. I got 10# meal off of Wilson, also groceries off of Davy. 1/2c for sugar and 15c for compound. Maud took the turkey to Bell's and went and brought her home tonight.
Thursday March 16, 1916
Fair, clear and cold. Sidney wanted to work but Alf. did not come about 9 a.m. Sidney went there and they were just getting breakfast. Alf. did not want to work so S. went to W. Monroe, got some corn and meal. Rode with Frank Cronan some both ways. Lost our bag. Sidney, Mora and Maud have gone to meeting tonight. Mora and Maud rode back with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hubbard. Claud Bryant converted.

Sidney cut brush a.m., cultivated and went through potatoes with shovel plow p.m. Had House's old horse and at 5 o'clock went to W. Monroe, got a lot of groceries. Rode with Frank Cary down on his motor, got home 9 p.m.
Wednesday August 11, 1915
Fair, warm. Sidney went to help fix up grove for the picnic. Made another 16ft. table. Frank and Joe Slosson, also Kenneth, helped. Frank Kents dog bit Sidney on his way home, his leg is pretty sore, but he cut brush p.m. Children picked a little over 2 qts berries. We all went back but could not find any berries worthwhile to pick. Mr. and Mrs. House called evening. We had sweet corn for supper. Sidney and Mora went to Geo. Munger's this eve. got home at 10 p.m. did not find anyone at home there.

Rained hard nearly all day. Sidney went to West Monroe a.m., got a back load of groceries. Frank Cary called on his motor p.m.
Thursday August 5, 1915
Quite nice today but wind still blowing. Sidney took Bell's heifer up and put her in House's pasture early, and put in the rest of the day on the brush. Frank Cronan reaped House's oats, they drew in one load p.m. I rec'd a letter from Mina.
Sunday July 18, 1915
Fair. Sidney, Mora and Maud attended S.S and services. Mr. Carey came here for dinner went home 5 p.m. Frank also called a little while on his motorcycle. Sidney went over to Fred's eve., got 1/2 bu. potatoes and he gave him some nice lettuce. I broke off the leaves and set roots out for seed. Memphis got some sour milk off Bell. Baby feels bad.

Warm. Sidney was tired, did not go to church. Maud and Memphis went. Sidney went to F. Cronan's and Little France, rode home with Frank Fisher. Frank gave him a bu. seed potatoes. F. House paid him for his day's work last week.

I sent a card to Mina. Showery, an electric storm at 6 p.m., struck Frank Cronan's house, setting fire in two places. Maud and Memphis went to school. Cassie helped me, dropped 2 rows sweet corn. Sidney worked for F. House a.m. and Ross Bisbo p.m., eve. He and Mora went to Little France and got a lot of groceries. Mrs. Beasonson gave her 3 sticks of candy and Charlie gave her cookies. Took 1 doz. eggs 20c.
Monday May 10, 1915
Frost last night, sunshine's but a cold wind blowing today. Sidney started at 12:30. Maud and Cassie went to school. Memphis is much better. I rec'd a letter from Mina. Alf. and Mannie came and spent the evening. Sidney got 1/4 bu. buckwheat off Frank Cronan this morning. Mora got cowslips. Mrs. Fisher gave her sauerkraut.

Cold wind, commenced to rain at 11 a.m. rained nearly all the rest of the day. Maud and Memphis went to school a.m. they did not have their arbor day exercises on account of the rain. Mr. House came and got a bag of plaster, he left in house for Frank Cronon. A rag peddler came a.m. A. Russel came this p.m. wanted Sidney to go fishing with him. Pearl Russel came and borrowed some salt for her mother.

Very nice day. Elder Sypher called a.m. and Mrs. A. Russel came twice. Sidney worked at Martin Fisher's. Ate dinner and supper there. Martin came in the eve and helped change out stove. Mrs. Johnson sent some parsnips by Frank Fisher, they were very nice.

Beautiful warm day. Maud fell and hurt her knee this a.m. so did not attend school until p.m. Mora went all day. Both went to play with Avis after school. Sidney did the chores for Rev. Mitchel at noon and night as he is away. Brought about 1 1/2 qt of milk he milked. Frank Lynch's baby died 2 a.m this morning, pneumonia.
Tuesday February 23, 1915
Awfully slushy snow going very fast, rainy p.m. Sidney reached home at noon, just as the children came to dinner. Mora and Maud went to store and mill after got home from school at night. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burt has a baby.

Some rain today. Sidney, Maud and Memphis went to meeting and S.S. Frank Cary called p.m on his motorcycle.
