Hot dry, clouded up awhile but no rain. Sidney rode with Edd Cotett's girl a.m. went to Besonson's and got flour, sugar and BK powder. Mrs. Besonson gave him 5 sticks of candy. Mrs. Russel and girls came eve. also Bell. I rec'd a letter from Susie.

Monday June 3rd 1916
Cloudy, a mist some. Joe Sloson and children came a.m. for Mora, it seems lonesome without her. Sidney hoed but it was so very wet, he quite and built fence. I washed nearly all day. Some of our things and more for Susie. Sidney went to Bisbo's eve, to see about berry picking.
Friday June 30th 1916
I got up 5:45, drew off milk, fed pig calves and chickens before the rest were up except Pa. Picked berries, all of us got 2 crates and Cassy and I picked 20 qts over to bring home. James came and brought us home. Marian and Myrtle came, Susie traded a goose and a guinea hen for 2 hens. She gave me some butter an a pail of milk to bring home. When we got to Bisbo's our girls rode home having just finished, they got tickets cashed, Sidney, Maude and Memphis went home with James.

Lovely quite cool day. I picked 48 qts of berries and made a dress for Paul, did some sewing for Susie.
