Very hot close day. Paul has worried continually. I bought a good big cabbage for 10 cents, a qt of southern onions 5 cents off Claude Bisbo. I baked a big batch of bread out of Quaker flour, it is lovely bread. Sidney came at 11 p.m., caught a ride with Floyd Fisher.

Saturday February 6, 1915

Rainy most of the day. Sidney came at about 1 p.m. Mailed a letter to Lillian. C.D. brought wood eve.

Friday January 22, 1915

Quite cold all day, last night was the coldest night so far this month. Claude Dick got Joe Dupra to bring 1/2 cord wood over, as one of his horses kicked the other and he is unable to use it. Sidney came about 7 p.m.

Wednesday December 30, 1914

Mora staid all night with Mrs. Boots. Quite stormy altho not very cold. Sidney went to P. Maruney's a.m. and Pat got Claud Burt to draw the poles down for him. Strickland plowed and Pat kittled out the road p.m.

Friday May 8, 1914

Pleasant all day. Mora went to Weatherups, Avis told her the minister and his family were going to moved on the Moon place. Rec'd a card from Sidney, mailed at Lacona. Floyd Lynch came to see our little rabbits early this morning, he had two little white rabbits in his pockets, said he got them off C. Burt. Gene Porter came to see them also, Agnes came and stayed until 11:30. Henry Rudeau has kept Cassie busy getting potatoes he plowed up, they are much nicer than if kept in a cellar. Caught some more little fish this evening

Saturday Feb. 14, 1914

It snow'd last night and has snow'd nearly all day clearing at nightfall, a little colder again wind in the north tonight. There is more snow on the ground now than at any timie before this winter. Lewis Morey told Sidney that Pa was sick and James had a sore throat, he also said James wanted to trade a goose with us for ducks. Sidney sent Mrs. Burts boraxine to her by Claude.
