Hot, nice showers at evening. Sidney went to West Monroe a.m., dug a few potato's p.m. The Polish man dug a few also a.m. Paul and I have not felt very well today. Sidney wrote to Hannah.

Wednesday August 23rd 1916
Thunder shower in the ight, lousy and some rain today, cooler. Sidney went to West Monroe a.m. and p.m. went over to Cary's and got a few duchess apples. Mora and I picked a few berries, rec'd a letter from Mina.
Monday July 31st 1916
Very hot. Sidney went to W Monroe a.m., got flour and meds. Rode both ways with Leon Muckey with Potter's cheese rig.
Monday July 24th 1916
Very warm. Sidney went to W. Monroe a.m. got a ride both ways. We hilled potatoes. Children pulled weeds and went to Russel's to play an hour, p.m.
Monday July 17th 1916
Hot day. Sidney went to W. Monroe, got feed and groceries. Rode past way both ways. Mora, Memphis and Cassy picked berries for Cassy Potter. Mora went to Sloson's and got her clothes tonight.
Saturday July 1st 1916
Warm. Sidney came at 10 a.m. He went first to W. Monroe, got a lot of groceries and feed. Marguerite came with him. Pa fixed my flat iron handle. Sent Ma's teeth to me, also gave Sidney a picture of his mother that was there in the bureau drawer. Sidney cultivated a little, then took the horse back. Maude and Memphis walked back with him.
