Sunday August 13th 1916

 Cloudy a.m. and rainy early p.m., fair moon is beautiful tonight. Sidney, Mora, Maud and Mable have gone to meeting this evening. Rev. Conklyn will preach, got home at 10 p.m. Went to bed and before we were asleep at 11, James drove in.

Wednesday November 3, 1915

Cold, a little rain. Hail and round snow, first snow this fall. Mora came home eat breakfast. She and Maud and Memphis went to school. The Russel girls stopped and went with them. Bell came an hour a.m. Mr. House said he whole republican ticket was elected here but town went wet. Rev. Sypher and Fay dug some of their {unable to read, ripped} acrost the road.

Thursday August 19, 1915

Quite cold morning and also at night. Fire feels good. Sidney cut brush. Got 10# graham off Claud Davey. Cooked some of our succotash for supper. Sidney rec'd a letter from Ind., also his church letter from Rev. Love.

Saturday July 10, 1915

Fair. I have worked some today and Mora finished the potatoes, hoed 8 rows. Rev. Sypher brought 2 pair of shoes to Mora, some his wife sent her. Bell brought some sweet milk, Mamie sent the flour back but it is scant. Sidney reached home about 10 p.m., he ate a lunch at D. Wynes, after having come on the eve. train from North Bay. He bought a little turkey, gave 25 cents for it, beyond Camden.

Sunday Februay 7, 1915

Sidney, Mora and Maud went to church, a Rev. Haveus was there. Sidney said he preached a very good sermon.

Monday January 4, 1915

Clear, pleasant, thawed some on the south side of the house. Sidney cut wood at P. Maruney's. Mora and Maud went to school. Rev. Mitchel came eve. staid until 10 p.m. We had a very good visit with him, he is an interesting talker alright.

Wednesday December 2, 1914

Rained all last night and until after daylight. Sidney was going away early but did not on account of the rain. Rev. Mitchel's wife and daughter called for Sidney, Mina and Mora to go to prayer meeting with them at John Fidler's. Clayton Porter bought a paper.

Saturday October 10, 1914

Rain a.m. Sidney picked apples for Clint. The children picked up a while. Clint gave us a bushel of very nice red ones. We gave Rev. Mitchel a squash when he called.
